14-15 December 2024
I am very happy to join Azka Foods, Slow Food Saudi Arabia, and the Royal Commission for AlUla to meet with the community of farmers from AlUla county in Saudi Arabia. During two days of trainings at the Department of Agriculture in AlUla, we will present the purpose, structure, and governance of farmers markets. Moreover, we will present how the Slow Food Earth Markets provide extra opportunities to add value to basic production of local products, and mark a special opportunity to co-brand with Slow Food's Ark of Taste in order to serve local consumer desires to preserve and celebrate local food traditions and biodiversity, and to access visitors to the region who are drawn to AlUla's natural beauty.
Dates: 14-15 December 2024
Location: AlUla Department of Agriculture, AlUla, Saudi Arabia
