20 October 2023

Join me for the virtual 7th Good Food Summit, October 20 - 21, 2023, led by China's premiere Nongovernmental Organization committed to increasing fruit and vegetable consumption, animal welfare, biodiversity, and the dignity of local agriculture.

Description of the summit:

Although we are slowly recovering from the three-year haze of the COVID-19 pandemic, greater and more pressing issues still lie ahead of us – ensuring food security, combating climate change, preserving biodiversity, promoting healthy diets, and more. Each of these issues harbors substantial risks for our future, necessitating systemic solutions and unified efforts from all stakeholders. Sustainable food system transformation is key to our success in addressing these challenges. With only seven years left to achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, we urgently need to accelerate actions for change.

The Good Food Summit is China’s first annual event dedicated to advancing food system transformation by connecting stakeholders, facilitating exchange of ideas and practices, and incubating future actions. Since 2017, the Good Food Summit has successfully held six sessions, bringing together universities, research institutions, experts and scholars, businesses, social organizations, and practitioners from dozens of countries, and attracting attention from millions of viewers through livestreams and social media engagement.

The 7th Good Food Summit will continue to bring together stakeholders from every link on the food value chain – from agricultural production, supply chain, and the culinary and hospitality industries to community organizations, academia, youth communities and consumers. This year’s Summit will dive deep into the latest innovations and showcase best practices to drive systemic change with real long-term value and reboot food system transformation in the post-pandemic era.
