Join me and other public market professionals from around the world for the 11th International Public Markets Conference, organized by the Project for Public Spaces. Not only will this gathering take place on site of the newly redeveloped St. Lawrence Market, but in Canada's remarkably diverse immigrant city of Toronto. I look forward to connecting with government officials, practitioners, market fans, and especially the Project for Public Spaces team who have been promoting the concept of municipal market ecosystems long before the terminology of ecosystems was applied to everything. Come learn about the Market Cities approach. I also look forward to spending time with the leaders of the newly established Canadian Farmers Markets Association, who will hold its first national gathering to coincide with the PPS conference.
